Before you refresh
If a document contains unsaved work, keep that tab open. Where possible, copy the text into an approved work location. Tell 2Fifteen Tech if you cannot preserve it.
Step 1: Check the connection
Try another website. If the connection works, wait about five minutes, then try opening the file in a separate tab. A temporary Google service problem may clear on its own.
Step 2: Try another browser window
- Open a private or Incognito window, if your organization's settings allow it.
- Sign in with the same work account and open the file link.
- Alternatively, try another current browser on your work computer.
If the file opens there, tell us. That helps narrow the problem to the original browser or its extensions. Use your normal window for offline access.
Step 3: Get help with the browser
Check that your browser is up to date. Contact us before changing managed extensions or clearing browser data when work has not saved. Clearing cookies signs you out of sites.
Avoid creating replacement copies as your first fix. A copy can lose the original's version history and leave collaborators working in different files.
What to send us
Contact 2Fifteen Tech support with the file link, error screenshot, browser name, and whether a private window or another browser worked. Tell us if others have the same problem.
