Google Drive for desktop puts your work files in Finder on a Mac or File Explorer on Windows. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides still open in your browser.
Step 1: Open Google Drive
- Mac: Open Finder, click Applications, then open Google Drive.
- Windows: Open Start, search for Google Drive, then open it.
If the app is missing, contact 2Fifteen Tech. We can check how it should be installed on your work computer.
Step 2: Sign in
- Click Get started or the sign-in button.
- In the browser window, select your work account. Check the full email address before continuing.
- Return to Google Drive once sign-in finishes.
Step 3: Find your files
Open Finder or File Explorer and select Google Drive. Open My Drive or Shared drives, then double-click a file.
Mac: If Finder shows an Enable button for Google Drive under Locations, click it to allow access.
